Beethoven Piano Concerto No 5 "Emperor" - Fleisher piano - Szell Cleveland Orchestra
It was a wonderful recording. The music sounds very transparent, crispy and very sound staging when listening. This is one of the MUST heard downloadable music files to be heard on your hifi system. Thanks HDTT for carrying this item.
Beethoven Piano Concerto No 5 "Emperor"
This is in my top 10 and maybe top 5 pieces of music so over the years I have heard a couple different recordings. I felt the tempo was a bit too fast in places, especially the first movement. It was not bad, just different. In terms of sonic quality, I was only able to listen to it through my headphones so I could not give it a fair evaluation, I expect it will sound better when on my full system in the future. I am glad I bought this recording and enjoy hearing different competent renditions, which this was.
Beethoven Piano Concerto No 5 "Emperor"
Very good, Thank you.
Sounds Beautiful.
Beautiful Beethoven Piano Concerto No 5 "Emperor".I love it.
Great performance, poor sound
I bought the FLAC 24/96 version, and the noise reduction used creates very annoying muting effects in quiet passages. Slow movement especially - the many silent spots Beethoven wrote in so beautifully are disconcerting because the room reverb and slight background noise is obviously muted. Also, the piano tone is rather distorted in loud passages, sometimes a problem on an old tape that isn't in top condition. Would love to hear the DXD format to see if the silencing effect is gone - but not worth buying it to see!
