Giant Steps in DSD/DXD is a must have Album for all Jazz Enthusiasts
I have had various versions/media/formats of this album over the years and the DXD 352.8-24 version is by far the best. Another great recording transferred to digital format.

For A Friend
I knew better but I bought this in order to give this to a friend who said they did not have it. BOOM!

Yet another jazz classic in superb sound
If you love classical (and jazz is a classical music, just not European classical music) music, you probably won't get bored by the near-endless parade of must-have albums coming to us from HDTT. And in fabulous sound too! Don't need to say any more, do I?

A Redux well worth re-adding to your library
I have multiple different releases of this album, but none come close to the superb sound quality of this HDTT transfer in Pure DSD. Many sound processed and dithered with (like the Acoustic Sounds release), others are just bad digital. As noted, this release is a Redux series release from HDTT. There was an earlier DXD release around 2016, but this new release applies improvements in their equipment and processing for significantly improved sound. I've listened to both the earlier release and this, and there is no contest. This new Pure DSD transfer is very much superior in transparency, instrumental timbre and overall naturalness of sound. (The original seems to have been transferred at a bit higher gain setting which can be misleading as to which sounds better. Just take that into account in making your own comparison.) If you love this album, I think you'll find the sonic improvement worth the reinvestment of funds.
