I reluctantly downloaded the 16 bit Westminster version a month before your release, darnit!
I thought HDTT would never get around to transferring it, and here we are. : ) This Eroica has been one of my fav's every since I picked up the Westminster Lp in a thrift. Exhilarating performance, if slightly untidy here and there. The transfer beats the 16 bit download in many ways. It's easier to hear "into" the sound, decay last longer, especially regarding string plucks and timp whacks. Strings are sweeter, climaxes are a little more transparent. While we're on the subject, Scherchen's mono Beethoven cycle, especially those releases with Beecham's Royal Phil, would be excellent candidates for your Archival series. Thank you! (But please, consider posting a "coming soon" list.)
