Hans Rosbaud (1895-1962) was a prominent Austrian conductor known for his contributions to 20th-century classical music. Born on July 22, 1895, in Graz, Austria, Rosbaud began his career as a conductor in Germany and later gained international recognition.
Rosbaud was particularly associated with contemporary and avant-garde music. He was a champion of composers such as Arnold Schoenberg, Anton Webern, and Igor Stravinsky, as well as Mahler and Bruckner. Rosbaud's dedication to contemporary repertoire made him a key figure in the musical landscape of his time.
