Otello
Great improvement over original. But channels reversed at end of act one?
Karajan's first Otello
Great sound....makes up for Decca not officially producing a high resolution version. I like the fact that all the acts have no bands as that will prevent any gapping or clicks that may occur in the download world. A proper standard should have been created to avoid this! Marvelous performance of course and more complete than the later recording.

A Rare and Special Offering
Here’s a complete DECCA classic opera from HDTT done to a turn. Not too often we get opera from this source, so this is pretty special. The great sound of this set, not to mention the glorious singing, makes this an indispensable restoration.

Classic Recording - Great Remastering
I purchased the highest res downloads hoping the sound would be better than any of the Decca CD releases. Pleased to report it is and much better than "The Originals" release. The Decca team produced some classic recordings back in the 60's, this is one of them. del Monaco was never a subtle singer, but teamed with Tebaldi, the VPO and Karajan, the results are thrilling. HDTT have done an excellent job with the remastering. The Esoteric remastering is better still, BUT, way, way more expensive. Very happy to enjoy this at a very reasonable price. Thanks for a job well done.
