"Romance anónimo" and others

a collection of short pieces for guitar, including his famous "Romance Anónimo", in which HDTT have achieved a very good sound of this tape from 1960. Compared to my old recording on disc, the sound recovery is great.

ROMANCE Narciso Yepes Guitar Recital

What a wonderful album this is and with great “in your room sound”. ! I’m not even going to use adjectives here! You can go to wikipedia and find a bumper crop there as well as a delightful photograph of Yepes at twelve years in short knicker pants playing a guitar larger than he is! In this album we have a range of expression at times like a cantata (but with a guitar voice!). Some pieces surprised me for the speed and articulation of the notes. My favorite Villa Lobos prelude thankfully is included here, probably the best example of dynamic and poetic shading. This is an album to which you can listen studiously or have in the background of your life. Either way is better for it!
