The marriage of jazz with classical music has a long tradition. It is sometimes referred to as Third Stream Music and was popularized by the Modern Jazz Quartet with its integration of jazz with traditional chamber music. In this performance, we have the well-known and brilliant violinist Mark Feldman joining guitarist Dave Miller, bassist Joe Policastro, and drummer Gustavo Cortinas in a unique melding of jazz and classical music.

Recording Info: Recorded 12 October 2022 at Pro Musica, Chicago Illinois, onto a custom Studer/Revox 8 track (C-278) at 1 Sips IEC. Microphones employed were an AKG 414EB on violin, an Earthworks SV 33 on bass, an AKG 414EB on guitar, and a pair of AKG 414 ULSs on drums. Engineering by Jonathan Horwich and Ken Christianson.
