This Living Stereo classic, indisputably in the top ten for performance and sound, has now been remastered from a better source. It's a worthwhile upgrade for the Redux series.

Am I wrong ?
Yes, but no. I keep my preference for the former release, in highest dsd format : dsd128. This is and will be my pinnacle. Because i love this interpretation. I hear less life in the redux version, it gives me less pleasure. Nevertheless, I keep it 5 stars because of the tiny difference and because former release was head and shoulders over the 2014 Analogue Productions SACD.

Mussorgsky/Ravel - Pictures at an Exhibition - Reiner CSO,
A classic recording and audiophile favourite. Sounds better than my expensive high quality vinyl release. I love this piece of work and have never heard it sound better than on the HDTT DSD256 release.

A classic in great sound!
This is one of the great recordings. The performance and the sound have long been audiophile favorites, and I have Golden Ear friends who keep the original RCA LP with them as they travel from place to place visiting friends with turntables. Bob Witrak and HDTT have done us all a service by reissuing this in superb high-resolution digital sound. I've got the DSD 256 version, and it's a worthy digital follow-up to the original!

The best version yet of an amazing recording
I debated buying another version of this amazing recording but I’m glad I did. It’s simply the best digital transfer to date. The clarity, timbral transparency and dynamics are stunning. With my gear the dsd file sounds a little more flat but the DXD is simply exploding out of the speakers (in the best sense of the term).

The best I've had...
Before stereo, my Aunt owned this recording which she got from the Book of the Month - Society of Great Music. After the advent of stereo (1958) this was a first-year release and I've owned it in one form or another ever since. But this HDTT transfer is not only the best version of this recording I have had so far...great localization of the sound picture, no stridency in the upper strings, great bass drum response etc. ... but also one of the best HDTT productions overall that I have received. At this point I have 38 of them including a couple of operas. I am happy enough with all of them that they keep bringing me back for more...mostly the treasures of my youth hailing from 1958 to 1962. I am very glad to have them and they compete easily with my remaining vinyl (aka LP's).
